My Lyme Journey

Updated: Nov 3, 2021

June 2019. I had finally gotten my Lyme Disease diagnosis and was given 2 months of oral antibiotics and then 30 days of IV Antibiotics through a PICC Line. I was in my house with a rolling IV stand so I could get from one place to another. I also had to use a walker and wheelchair.

July of 2019. After the 30 days of antibiotics, I really didn't know if I was gonna make it or not and so I went to Wisconsin Dells with Lexie and Jaxson. I was still unable to walk or hold my body up. The shaking was profuse and still is at times. I refused to sit at home and wait to die. I said fuck it and we all hopped in the car. I was in so much pain but all I remember is the fun I had with them. I'll never regret going. My doctor thought I was nuts and I didn't care.

These fucking ticks are EVERYWHERE. Don't let anyone tell you that there are no ticks in your state or country. They are all over and infected and ready to ruin your life by injecting parasites into your body. You also get blessed with a co-infection which is a whole other parasite. So I got the basic tick infection called Borrelia Burgdorferi al0ng with the co infection Bartonella. Bartonella is prevalent in Illinois. There are tons of different ticks as well. The deer tick is most common in Illinois. Check yourself. Check your kids! If you get bit, bring that tick to urgent care and have the facility test it and get some antibiotics immediately. They say that if you get treated within the 3-4 week timeframe after the bite, it will go away. I never knew I got bit and never had a rash. The dr. estimates I had gotten bit about 10 yr earlier. Take it seriously.
